The Blob!

I got my hands on a copy of The Blob yesterday and I thought it was great. The effects, albeit silly, were really fantastic in my opinion. I threw this together shortly after watching the film.

Shadowy Figure, the Sequel!

I thought I'd change it up a bit to sort of add context to the earlier idea. I like how it turned out.

So, I had an idea for an animation that involves a looming figure that cannot be escaped and I pictured it emerging from a wall as a shadow and here's what I came up with. There are a few timing errors, but I think it gets the idea across.

And here it is roughly colored. I definitely think it looks interesting and am going to try some different things with the idea.

Numbness

I've been playing with emotions in artwork lately. Via colors, lines, and shapes to try and convey an emotion. This above sketch was me trying to create a feeling of numbness.

Pete The Owl's Walk Cycle

Alright, so here it is! I drew this owl guy named Pete and I tried to animate him walking. It's still rough, but I think this is a good first walk cycle. I may go back and clean him up sometime, but I have to move on to another project soon.

I plan on doing these for the next several days and looking at all of them at the end. Hopefully by the end of it, I'll have figured out how to draw feet.

I figure drew some more today. I think I'm getting back into the hang of things. This one only took half the time as yesterday's.

I animated this because of something a friend said that sounded like "Punk Chicken". Enjoy.
